Barbara Leary

Elect a leader who has worked to enhance our community for many years and has the experience to collaborate on solutions to keep our City the best place to live, work, and play.

Folsom needs a strong voice to represent the residents of our district. I’m a retired Nurse Practitioner who believes in the importance of evaluating and updating our policies to sustain a healthy community and environment, support public safety, and to address homelessness. I have been active in the Folsom Community for over 30 years. I’ve served on the Parks & Recreation Commission, the Arts & Cultural Commission, and the Planning Commission. I also co-founded and ran the Natoma Station Community Organization, aiding our neighborhood in halting bad development proposals and supporting neighborly businesses. My work on those commissions and in my community has allowed me to learn in depth how our City works and the importance of community involvement in our decision making processes. I have the experience and resources to get to work on day one to tackle the issues we now face.
